Lights Of Your Eyes

A blue-edged sketch

Shades of light streaming into the canvas

Lilting, distant melodies from afar

Formless elements dancing in the midnight sun

The ancient, wizened Banyan in the distance

Perfectly balanced in ether, the epicentre, the Naabhi

The dew on its blue-veined green and yellow leaves ablaze in lotus flames

Rapid movement of the hands, the eyes

Creating life.

The stars on his body

are alive

And dark patches in the milky sky swim

A downpour of souls and light.

Darkness.

Sheer, utter blind darkness

So dark, it knows not itself

Shadows of the night march

Their dark silhouettes reflected in the waters

Screams and silence.

A solitary ray peeks into the hut

The darkness broken by the clear trill of the Mynah

Awake, my friend, and love.
